

Russell Gerney began his legal career in 2001 as a law clerk for a small firm in Pittsburgh, PA. He graduated
Cum Laude from Duquesne University School of Law in June 2003. Mr. Gerney was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar in October 2003.
After relocating to Toledo, Ohio in 2005, Russell Gerney began working for a large plaintiff-oriented firm.
After almost five years with the firm, Mr. Gerney began his own practice on April 25, 2010.
Russell Gerney is licensed to practice in several federal courts, including the Supreme Court of the
United States. He has been published in the Duquesne Law Review and Ohio Trial. Mr. Gerney has also taught several seminars on Social Security disability claims. His article Equal Protection Under the Pennsylvania Constitution, has been cited by the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania, who referred to the article as “an excellent history of the changing constitutional sources for ‘equal protection’ under the Pennsylvania Constitution.”
